SeaI/O-OEM Boards Offer Convenient Alternative To Bus-Based I/O Expansion

Liberty, SC - Sealevel Systems Inc. recently announced the release of the SeaI/O-OEM family of bus-independent I/O boards, offering choice of host connectivity and a wide range of digital, analog, and serial control capabilities. SeaI/O-OEM boards are perfect for expanding OEM computing platforms including ITX, EBX, EPIC, and ATX designs. For maximum flexibility, ordering options allow connection to a host computer via wireless Ethernet (802.11b/g), wired Ethernet, RS-485, USB, or RS-232.

15 I/O configurations are currently available offering Reed and Form C relays, optically isolated inputs, TTL interface to industry standard solid-state relay racks, A/D and D/A functionality, and RS-232/422/485 serial connectivity. Multiple units of any I/O type can be easily daisy chained together using convenient pass-through connectors. This expansion capability enables a network of SeaI/O modules to be controlled with even a traditional point-to-point USB or RS-232 host connection. For easy software integration, application programs or 3rd party software can use Sealevel's SeaMAX library or industry standard Modbus protocol.

Field removable terminal blocks are standard, enabling fast, reliable field wiring. The modules operate from 9-30VDC, and power can be input via terminal block or DC jack. Each SeaI/O-OEM board includes metal standoffs for easy mounting in any enclosure or cabinet.

Standard operating temperature range of SeaI/O-OEM modules is 0°C to 70°C and extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) is optional.
