A-Systems Corporation has been providing accounting software to the construction industry since 1978. In fact, A-Systems was the first company to do real job cost accounting software for the PC. Our founder was the computer pioneer who, according to Byte Magazine, created the first PC, right here in Utah. This is the legacy upon which A-Systems was built.
A-Systems was founded May 15, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The company is headquartered in the U.S. It is 100% owned by U.S. shareholders, also located in Utah. The president of A-Systems wrote his Master's Thesis on Economic Development and presented it to the Governor of the State of Utah. A-Systems is very much an American company and proud of its heritage. A-Systems puts on seminars for businesses called The 90-Minute MBA Program, sponsored by businesses and government agencies across the country.
Since 1978, A-Systems has focused all of its energies on one product for one industry, Accounting for the Construction Industry, technically known as Job Cost Accounting. As a pioneer in PC-based Job Cost Accounting, A-Systems "invented" the concept of having multiple fiscal periods open at the same time. This capacity is taken for granted today, but it was a revolutionary idea in 1978 when A-Systems introduced it. Because A-Systems was a pioneer it set the standard for the industry.
Over the decades, A-Systems worked continuously to further enhance its product, making it better, faster, more powerful, and best of all, even easier to use. A-Systems has provided its customers with literally thousands of improvements. Most of these were actually designed or requested by A-Systems' family of loyal customers.
Even with all these new capabilities, A-Systems has firmly resisted the urge to charge a lot of money for its powerful software. A-Systems believes that most companies simply overcharge for their products! To those who expect to pay high prices, it might appear that an affordable program must have severe limitations. This is not the case with JobView. The truth is that there are companies doing over $100 million per year that attribute their financial success to the power and ease of use built into JobView. Their needs are sophisticated and complex, yet JobView more than meets their needs. Beyond their needs, JobView meets their wants.
