Model LS600 CCFT Inverter

Taiyo Yuden (U.S.A.), Inc. announces a new addition to its popular line of ultra-compact inverters, expressly designed to drive cold-cathode fluorescent tube (CCFT) backlighting of dual scan color LCDs. The LS600 employs superior design engineering techniques to provide the market¹s lowest profile CCFT inverter. With an overall height of just 4.8mm (0.19"), the super low-profile LS600 provides OEMs with a tremendous advantage in meeting the continuing miniaturization design requirements of palmtop computers, flat panel displays and other electronics-based durable goods.

The compact, super low-profile LS600 measures only 140mm (5.51") long by 12.5mm (0.49") wide. The module provides a wide input range of 7.0­17.6VDC and an output of 4.2W. The LS600¹s built-in brightness control, a significant OEM design advantage, is adjustable via PWM or DC bias voltage.

Manufactured in Taiyo Yuden (USA), Inc.¹s ISO9001-approved factory, the LS600 provides entirely surface-mounted components for improved reliability and more cost-effective manufacture.
