The SKY87000 is a step-down regulator with auto-bypass LDO for multi-band and multi-mode RF power amplifiers. It features a 2.7 to 5.5 V input voltage range, a 0.4 V to 4.25 V dynamic output voltage, an internally compensated current/mode architecture, an integrated 85mΩ bypass regulator, and much more.
This step-down regulator is ideal for applications involving multi-mode RF power amplifiers, portable media devices, wireless USB data cards, and smartphones/mobile/cellular phones. It has the ability to dynamically control the operating voltage of a multi-mode WCDMA or GSM/EDGE power amplifier solution. Additionally, this device can support up to 2.5 A of a total load current with step-down and bypass regulators.
The SKY87000 step-down regulator comes in a 9-bump Wafer Level Chip Scale Package (WLCSP) with a 0.5 mm pin pitch. System performance is enhanced with an 85mΩ bypass regulator that allows the power amplifier to be powered directly from the battery.
