Actel, GateField Form Strategic Alliance

Actel Corp. has entered into a multi-year strategic alliance with GateField Corp. Under the alliance, Actel receives the exclusive right to market and sell GateField's Standard ProASIC products in process geometries of 0.25 mm and smaller as part of its programmable logic device (PLD) family. In addition, Actel has purchased assets in GateField's design services business unit.

Under the alliance, Actel will provide an initial cash payment of $2 million to GateField. Actel will also give GateField another $1 million after product qualification.
