Askey Computer Corporation. was established in Taipei, Taiwan in 1989. Initially focused on modem design and production, Askey Computer Corp. has continued to expand its product line and is now a leading producer of integrated computer communications products, including analog, cable (including voice over IP) and ADSL modems, digital imaging equipment, routers and computer/television integration hardware.
As the biggest modem makers in Taiwan, Askey Computer Corp. employs 1400 people and produces nearly 1.4 million modems per month. In addition to modems, Askey also develops a number of innovative products for the new media market, including TV tuner cards, set-top boxes and scan converters. With branch offices in the United States and Germany, factories in Taiwan and Vietnam, and a new factory scheduled to open in 2000 in Mainland China, Askey Computer Corp. is highly recognized as a dominant force in the computer communications product market.
