APS, located in Huntingdon Valley, PA, was founded in 1982 as a manufacturer of leadforming systems and solutions to the electronic market. Its consistent growth has enabled APS to be a leader in the manufacture of leadforming systems worldwide.

With the advent of surface mount technology, APS set out to provide this same level of expertise to the low to medium volume SMT production market. To serve this market, APS, in 1994, introduced its own manufactured low volume surface mount assembly line - the Gold Series. Since its introduction, APS has quickly grown to be a leader in providing solutions to this low to medium volume surface mount assembly industry. In fact, our Gold Series SMT line, sold in over 18 countries, has become a standard for low volume surface mount assembly!
