Burleigh Instruments, Inc., designs and manufactures high precision electro-optical and piezoelectric-based products for laser test and measurement, surface topography, and submicron linear positioning application.

Burleigh provides a complete line of WAVEMETER® Optical Wavelength Meters that measure the absolute wavelength of virtually any laser up to an accuracy of ± 0.1 ppm. Its RESOLVER® Optical Spectrum Analyzers are designed for high resolution spectral characterization of laser linewidth, longitudinal mode structure, and frequency stability in demanding scientific an WDM test and measurement applications. Systems are available for CW lasers, pulsed lasers, and OPOs that operate from the UV through the visible and into the IR.

Burleigh also manufactures surface topography instruments including atomic force and scanning tunneling microscopes and optical surface profilers for precise surface imaging. Its positioning products include piezoelectric-based PZT devices and INCHWORM®Motors for nonpositioning applications. These products feature angstrom resolution, millimeters of travel, high stiffness, high stability, and UHV and non-magnetic construction.
