Keyence Corporation Of AmericaG Series multipurpose laser semiconductor measuring system provides 5-micron measurement resolution with +0.1% full scale linearity. A visible 35-mm-wide laser beam, a 5000-element CCD sensor array and high sampling rates also help make the series suitable for production lines.

Because the beam is visible, setup and alignment are quick. A long, 300-mm measuring range makes the series suitable for cramped production lines where access to the target area is limited. During operation, objects entering the laser beam path between the transmitter and receiver heads create a shadow on the receiving CCD sensor. The received light is directly proportional to the size of the object(s) in the path of the beam.
