CETECOM BITE RF Tester has been officially validated by the SIG

Source: Radio Frequency Investigation (RFI)
Following the validation of Centro de Tecnología de las Comunicaciones, S.A. (CETECOM) BITE RF Tester by Radio Frequency Investigation Ltd (RFI), the validation reports have been accepted by the BQRB (Bluetooth Qualification Review Board), administrator of the SIG Bluetooth Qualification Program. Validation demonstrates that a particular test system meets the specified requirements according to the Bluetooth System Specification. CETECOM achieved acceptance in the record time of two months, consolidating CETECOM as first line supplier in the telecommunications conformance testers market.

Working in partnership with CETECOM, RFI, an accredited BQTF and BQB, was one of the first labs to install a complete BITE Test System solution and is now offering a full Bluetooth RF test service. RFI will be following this success with the validation of the CETECOM BITE Protocol/Profile Tester.

Bluetooth RF Conformance Test Cases have begun to migrate to category A, and, once mandatory, Bluetooth Developers will have to go to an accredited BQTF to perform the necessary testing in order to join the list of qualified products and place their products on the market.

As a Reference Test Platform, BITE allows BQTFs to perform category A testing for all the 16 RF Qualification Test Cases (transmitter, transceiver and receiver), automatic reporting, automatic calibration and ICS/IXIT management. It also provides manufacturers with a powerful and flexible system capable of test case customisation and parameter control.
