COMDEX/Fall '97 Receives Impressive Industry Support

COMDEX/Fall '97 is receiving unprecedented industry support, with more than 600 first-time exhibiting companies joining the ranks of more than 2,100 total exhibitors. Held in Las Vegas November 17-21, this year's conference program features more than 30 top-level executives, including luminaries Larry Ellison, David Gilmour and Michael Dell, will participate in the conference program.

On the international front, at least 560 companies from outside of the U.S. will exhibit at the show, which is expected to draw more than 215,000 IT professional attendees during the week. Over 35,000 COMDEX attendees are expected to come from outside of the U.S. This continued growth reflects the need of IT professionals looking to COMDEX for the products and trends that are driving the worldwide IT industry.

This year's roster includes a record number of senior- level executives that have shown up in force to participate in COMDEX/Fall '97. Industry participants include: Larry Ellison, president and CEO of Oracle Corp; Eric Benhamou, chairman and CEO at 3Com Corporation; Michael Dell, chairman of the board and CEO at Dell Computer Corporation; David Gilmour, Senior Vice President, Chief Research Officer and Co-founder of Giga Information Group; Steve Ward, Jr., general manager/IBM Mobile Computing at IBM Corporation; Eli Barkat, president and CEO of BackWeb Technologies; Mark Cuban, president and co-founder of AudioNet; Guy ``Bud'' Tribble, vice president and chief architect/JavaSystems at Sun Microsystems Computer Company; and Lew Wilks, president of GTE Telecom Solutions.
