Da-Tel was founded in 1968 to design and manufacture telemetry equipment to solve the problems of the utility industry.

In the early 1970s Da-Tel became the custom manufacturer of audio and base-band modems for the industry giant, Moore Systems, known today as Landis & Gyr. Da-Tel contracted with Southern California Edison in 1981 to provide the Nuclear Alarm Reporting System (NARS) for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. The design for San Onofre is considered the star among the nation's NARS systems and has been highly praised by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

As we strive to provide Tomorrow's Telemetry Today, we work hard to ensure that those products will continue to work for you well into the future. Some of Da-Tel's first clients are still using equipment produced more than 25 years ago. That equipment continues to be serviced by Da-Tel and is as fully functional now as it was upon installation. Da-Tel's commitment to service is unparalleled in the industry.
