Doctor Design Inc. Becomes ISI Design Center

Integrated Systems, Inc. has announced the addition of a full service engineering and design organization that complements ISI's industry leading real-time and embedded systems family of technology products. The ISI Design Center, formerly Doctor Design, Inc., is fully integrating its marketing and sales teams with those of its parent organization as one of the centerpieces of a new products and services strategy aimed at helping customers deliver new and innovative embedded products to market faster.

The mission of the ISI Design Center is to partner with customers and co-source the design and development effort of advanced, sophisticated products. The move comes in response to the ever increasing desire of customers to concentrate on development of their core competencies, while they see the engineering requirements of their traditional embedded projects growing larger and more complex.

As part of its services portfolio, the ISI Design Center can offer a broad selection of design solutions to customers, from ASIC through production board hardware capability, Windows applications through hard real-time systems software, or combinations of all of these.

Doctor Design, Inc. was founded in San Diego in 1984 by Marco Thompson and specializes in the area of digital video and advanced network systems. ISI acquired Doctor Design in 1996.
