Dovatron Expands and Relocates Florida Manufacturing Facility

Dovatron International, the contract electronics manufacturing unit of The Dii Group, Inc. has announced the purchase of a 130,000 square foot facility in Palm Harbor, FL. The new building is only eight miles from Dovatron's present facility in Clearwater, FL, and is more than twice its size. Dovatron will relocate after facility renovations and fit-up are complete.

Dovatron acquired the new facility to support growth of existing and new customer projects. Dovatron Florida expects continued growth in its current high-mix, medium-volume printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and box build business. With the recent addition of a new high-speed surface mount technology (SMT) line, high-volume manufacturing will also be provided. The new facility is being specifically outfitted to provide a complete array of manufacturing services and will include design for manufacturability/design for test (DFM/DFT) analyses, test development, prototyping, SMT assembly, pin-thru-hole (PTH) assembly, in-circuit test (ICT), functional test, environmental stress screening, full systems integration (box build), and distribution.
