Blue Wave Systems announces the dual processor PCI/C6600 DSP board, ideal for a wide range of embedded DSP applications including medical imaging, telecommunications test equipment, and industrial test and measurement.

Supporting either two TMS320C6201, or two TMS320C6701 processors operating up to 200 MHz, the PCI/C6600 delivers 3200 MIPS/2GFLOPS of processing power. Each of the two processors has access to 1 MB Flash memory, and 32 MB SDRAM via the EMIF.

The PCI/C6600 is an I/O rich product, providing high bandwidth data paths between the board, external devices, and the processors. The IEEE 1386.1 compliant PMC site offers a data rate of up to 132 MB/sec.

A second shared bus provides access to 200 MB/sec Expansion Interface Site. It extends PCI/C6600's I/O capabilities allowing a plug-in module containing an external interface to be attached to the board.

An on-board PCI bus enables communication between the C6x processors and the PMC site, the Test Bus Controller, and a host PC. Both processors can access as PCI bus masters via a PCI bridge device.
