Dytec/Central, Inc., an Illinois Corporation was founded by Noel Kindt and Jack Bowser in September of 1976. This was after the successful acquisition of Cozzens and Cudahy. Cozzens and Cudahy was one of the oldest and largest manufacturer's representatives in the Midwest with offices located in Chicago, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, St. Louis and Kansas City.

Three separate manufacturer's representative organizations were formed to fill the void created when Cozzens and Cudahy became a captive sales force for John Fluke Manufacturing.

Dytec/Central, Inc., was purchased by Dan Connors and Martin Linke in 1992. These two long term Dytec/Central, Inc. employees, with over 30 years experience between them, have contributed to the success of Dytec/Central, Inc. in the Midwest region. Since it's founding, Dytec/Central, Inc. has experienced consistent growth due to special emphasis placed on the electronic components market. Dytec/Central, Inc. built a strong reputation with both customers and principals for having technically competent and service oriented employees.

Another change for growth occurred in August of 1993 when Dytec/Central, Inc. merged forces with Wave Marketing Inc., also based in Chicago and Indianapolis. Wave Marketing was formed in 1986 and until the merger experienced rapid growth both in military and commercial markets. The former President and Founder, Chuck Wirtz having nearly 20 years of RF and Microwave experience, became Vice President and Partner as a result of the merger. Dan continued as President and Marty became Secretary/Treasurer.

The merger of these two companies resulted in the formation of Dytec, Inc., and the resulting growth potential was apparent from the start. Dytec, Inc. has had 6 consecutive years of aggressive growth due to solid employee performance, targeting of wireless markets, maintaining the existing customer base and working strategically with their principals to develop new customers and products.

Dytec, Inc., serves the territories of Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Western Kentucky.
