IBM, Intel, Ericsson, Nokia and Toshiba To Demonstrate Bluetooth Technology
Representing a rapidly growing consortium of over 500 member companies, Bluetooth Special Interest Group(SIG)founding members IBM, Intel, Ericsson, Nokia and Toshiba will demonstrate the latest innovations in wireless, short-range Bluetooth radio technology at the CeBIT World Business Fair in Hanover, Germany, March 18-24, 1999. The group will unveil the official Bluetooth name and logotype.
Illustrating seamless connection and communication between a wide range of mobile devices, the SIG founding companies will showcase Internet access via a completely wireless connection routed through a mobile phone to a notebook PC, as well as rapid wireless transmission of a digital photograph directly to a mobile PC using Bluetooth-enabled cameras and mobile phones. A PC to PC file transfer and message generation/transmission using a Bluetooth-enabled mobile PC linked to the cellular network via a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone access point will also be featured.
The five founders will sponsor a joint demonstration showcase, located in the Intel booth (Hall 13 Stand C31).
