INCOFOAM for Batteries, Catalysis and Filters

INCOFOAM is Unique:
Precision-sized, High Purity, and Uniform INCOFOAM is made by a unique, proprietary CVD process developed by Inco. This process produces a foam structure with excellent uniformity and allows economic production of a wide range of foams of different pore size and thickness.

Battery and fuel Cells
INCOFOAM is used in consumer and traction rechargeable batteries where high porosity, high conductivity and regular pore structure of foam are needed to give lighter weight, higher energy density batteries. INCOFOAM is finding exciting applications in emerging fuel cell technologies.

Catalysis
The porous, open structure of INCOFOAM and the well known catalytic activity of nickel combine to give a material with excellent potential for this application.

Filters
The strength, temperature and corrosion resistance of nickel, offer an attractive combination of properties for INCOFOAM to be used as a filter material.
