Magma provides advanced electronic design automation (EDA) chip implementation solutions that enable integrated circuit (IC) developers to take designs from register transfer level (RTL) to silicon with a single system. Based on Magma's patent-pending FixedTiming methodology, a unified datamodel and a complete suite of built-in design and optimization engines and analysis tools, Magma's Blast Chip IC implementation and Blast Fusion physical design systems enable logic and physical designers to deliver improved performance while significantly reducing time to market for complex deep submicron (DSM) ICs.
Unlike traditional synthesis, place and route tools, Magma's integrated systems achieve timing closure prior to detailed layout, eliminating time-consuming iterations between logical and physical design. In addition, Magma offers an add-on solution for avoidance of signal integrity problems.
In addition, Magma's Moscape subsidiary offers noise and electrical integrity analysis tools that are used by chip designers for final sign-off prior to chip fabrication. CircuitScope and GateScope are used to independently verify that a design is free of noise or other electrical problems before it is handed off to be manufactured.
