Maruwa America Corporation
In June of 1986, Mitsubishi Mining & Cement Corporation purchased KCK Co., LTD. In 1990, Mitsubishi Mining & Cement Corp. merged with Mitsubishi Metals to form Mitsubishi Materials Corporation. The North American headquarters in the Chicago area was renamed MMC Electronics America Inc.
Mitsubishi Materials Corporation decided to sell off the ceramics division to MARUWA Ceramic Co., LTD, a company that also had a history in ceramic manufacturing for the electronics industry since 1973. The MARUWA America Corporation office officially opened 4/1/99 in Schaumburg, IL.
