Maxent, a provider of flat-panel display solutions, recently announced the expansion of its line of flat panel digital televisions with the availability of the new 50-inch diagonal WXGA plasma display (MX-5020HPM). According to Maxent:

  • The HDTV-Ready MX-5020HPM incorporates a high-performance Japanese panel to deliver video quality rivaling products from high-end Japanese manufacturers. To ensure the highest quality interface between video components, the MX-5020HPM features dual HDMI inputs with HDCP to support the high-performance video interface integrated into a growing number of video components including HDTV cable boxes, DVD players and streaming media adapters.
  • Designed to deliver exceptional value and performance to the consumer market, this full-featured, affordable MX-5020HPM plasma delivers video performance comparable to other high-quality plasma panels from name-brand Japanese manufacturers, delivering a host of performance-enhancing features that include a 3-D Y/C digital comb filter, advanced video processing and integrated audio systems.
  • The MX-5020HPM possesses a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, an impressive contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and a brightness level of 1200 cd/m2. The new 50-inch plasma display guarantees zero bright pixels, incorporates MotionDSC® II Video Processor and digital noise reduction for rich and natural clarity. In addition to Preset Picture Settings, Image Shift for burn-in protection and Auto Video Detection/Synchronization, the Maxent plasma TV features an RS-232 port for remote control, advanced audio processing, integrated bottom-mounted speakers, and a wide variety of connectivity options including HDMI with HDCP, RGB input, composite/S-video inputs, SD/HD component video inputs, discrete audio inputs, and audio and subwoofer outputs.
