NKK Switches LW Series Features Dual Faced Illumination

Scottsdale, AZ - NKK Switches' continues lead the switch manufacturing industry with the release of the LW series of dual faced illuminated and non-illuminated rocker switches.

The snap-in mount, rocker devices are double pole and available in many circuit options including maintained and momentary action. They are rated at a resistive load of 10A @ 125V AC, 6A @ 250V AC or 6A @ 30 V DC. The inductive load rating is 5A @ 125V AC. Both UL and CSA markings are available upon request.

The rockers have dual faced illumination. Each half of the rocker face is distinctly illuminated due to the partitioned rocker cap construction and dual lamps. Design engineers are able to create various lighting effects by choosing to use either white or clear rocker caps, with multiple colored filters or lamp covers. In addition, different colors can be specified on each side of the rocker. Available with either incandescent lamps in several voltages or neon bulbs, the light sources operate independently of each other. The lamp sockets are stationary and independent of the rocker actuation, which protects them from damage due to shock or vibration. Front panel relamping allows for easy access when needed. This series can also be specified in non-illuminated versions. Optional accessories for all models include a decorative bezel available in several different colors.

The LW series' housing is constructed of steel with chrome plating that makes it a robust rocker switch. Snap-in mounting allows for fast and easy installation of these devices into the panel. They feature stainless steel retaining clips that ensure secure mounting over a wide range of panel thicknesses.

The high capacity LW3021A is a separate and distinct model. Its rocker cap is constructed of a white polycarbonate resin and is a screw in mount device. The switch is DPST and rated at 20A @110V AC. A neon lamp with a translucent red window is built into the rocker cap itself and indicates status. It features a built in ballast resistor that is an integral part of the switch.
