SAN DIEGO, CA -- Maxwell Technologies will conduct a live online NetSeminar entitled, "WANTED: High-Reliability Back-Up Power Solutions" at 10 a.m. (Pacific), November 12, 2003.

Gary Jasinski, Maxwell's director of OEM sales -- power systems, said that participants will learn how to design ultracapacitors into back-up power systems for short-term bridge power, power quality ride through and optimized secondary power sources. The presentation will cover packaging and balancing for high reliability, dynamic charging for rapid recharge and DC boost conversion to optimize ultracapacitor energy.

"Traditionally, back-up power systems have used batteries as an energy source in a wide range of applications," Jasinski said. "Ultracapacitor-based solutions offer many advantages over batteries, including higher reliability, lower maintenance, space savings, higher power density, greater predictability of condition and fewer environmental issues."

The live, interactive, seminar will allow participants to pose real-time questions to Jasinski and Mark Cohen, Maxwell's director of power products. Click here to pre-register and to log on to the live seminar or access an archived replay.
