Portable Computer System

SBS Technologies, Industrial Computers04 is a Pentium processor-based portable computer designed for harsh transit conditions. It will accept up to three full-length ISA or, optionally, one ISA and two PCIbus expansion cords. The system comes with a 10.4-in. active-matrix TFT color LCD flat panel, which is protected by a Lexan shield. The system includes a 200-MHz MMX Pentium plug-in processor card with 16 Mbytes of EDO DRAM. It also includes two 3.5-in. drive bays which are populated with a 1.44 MB floppy and a 2 Gbyte hard drive. A 1 Mbyte LCD video controller card has a VGA output port for connecting to an external SVGA CRT monitor. Two 2.25-in. ball bearing fans with removable filters provide card cooling. An adjustable card hold-down bar keeps the plug-in cards in place under vibration and transit conditions. A 150 W power supply provides power to all cards.
