The Winchester Rack and Panel product line is one of the most comprehensive pin and socket style connector systems available for cable-to-cable, cable-to-panel, and cable-to-board applications. The extreme versatility of Winchester's Rack and Panel line allows this connector system to be used in a wide variety of industries including industrial, military, aerospace, instrumentation, and telecommunications.
The Rack and Panel product line consists of molded insulators, screw-machined contacts, anodized aluminum hoods and protective shells, and a wide assortment of mating hardware. Other important features of the Rack and Panel product line include:
- Insulators available in a wide range of position sizes depending upon the product series.
- Solder cup, crimp, and dip solder PCB contacts available in pin diameters of .062, .040, .030, and .025 inches with current ratings of 13, 7.5, 5 and 3 Amps.
- Contacts pre-loaded into insulators or sold separately.
- Top or side opening cable hoods for applications requiring 180- or 90-degree cable exit.
- Male plug and female receptacle protective shells help to protect connector interfaces during handling as well as to provide polarization to ensure connectors are mated correctly.
- Wide assortment of mating hardware and accessories including fixed and turnable jackscrews and sockets, guide pins and sockets, mounting plates, and gaskets.
Certain series within the Rack and Panel product line are designed for commercial applications while other series meet Military specification MIL-C-28748. Winchester QPL'd connectors feature insulators molded from glass filled diallylphthalate material per MIL-M-14 SDG-F, contacts plated with 50 microinches Gold, and closed-entry female socket contacts. Removable crimp contacts qualified to MIL-C-39029 are also available.
