RC Chip Arrays

Type |AZ| chip arrays can increase circuit density by providing impedance matching termination for multiple circuit traces. These 4-element versions of the company's |Z|-Chip RC devices are in 0612 surface mount packages that are less than 25% the size of conventional R-C arrays in 2512 packages. Array elements are made with resistive capacitor electrodes. This creates a resistor value rather than adding a separate resistor to an existing capacitor. The resistor can match impedance and set time constants, while the cap blocks DC and conditions signals. Arrays are available with 33, 47, 68 and 100 pF caps with 22, 33, 47, 51, 80 and 100 ohm resistors. Price is about 18-cents each in quantities of 100,000 (at time of publication).
