Interlink Electronics, Inc.and IRC-TG models have been added to the Interactive Remote Control (IRC) product line. Interlink Electronics, Inc.features a new case that accommodates two user-configurable keypad areas. Manufacturers may populate up to 14 standard-sized keys onto these areas, using graphic overlays of LED indicators to cover unused key locations. The transmitter is powered by two AAA batteries, and employs an infrared communications link to provide a 10-meter wireless range. The transmitter supports 360-degree "mouse" pointing, left and right mouse click functions, and optional laser pointer, key backlighting and choice of case color.
The IRC-TG provides a flip-top case design that accommodates up to 6 buttons on the surface of the case and more on a keypad area concealed under a flip cover. Manufacturers may selectively populate up to 9 keys in this area, using graphic overlays to cover unused locations. The flip-top door may also be used as a mode switch, changing the function of the unit's primary 6 outer keys when open. The transmitter is powered by two AAA batteries, and employs an infrared communications link to provide a 10-meter wireless range.
