Small-Outline DIMM Connectors

Parallel-mount SO-DIMM (Small Outline Dual In-line Memory Module) connectors are for high density main memory applications in laptops, graphics cards, and network interface boards. 6400 Series connectors are 0.8 mm pitch SMT types that accommodate JEDEC standard 144-pin memory modules. Their right-angle configuration places memory modules parallel to motherboards to reduce height. Metal latch beams and locking contacts provide robust retention and reliable interconnection. A memory module can be inserted at a 25-degree angle to a motherboard before being lowered into the locking position. A stainless steel latching mechanism with a convenient nylon/plastic handle facilitates installation. Pricing is about $5 each/10,000 (at time of publication). Samples available now.
