Company Mission
Supertex manufactures semiconductors, that can operate in high voltage circuits, by using proprietary HVCMOS techniques for both design and world class manufacturing in our own fab.

Why High Voltage?
Currently the digital electronics world is transitioning from 5V through 3.3V to about one volt for power supplies. 10 volts or more is considered 'High' by many sub-micron digital designs. In the Supertex world, parts are often specified to above 500V. Supertex ICs often mix high and low voltage section in one device.

Where Supertex Parts Are Used
The Company's products are targeted for the Imaging, Medical, and Telecom markets, and include standard products and custom solutions. Many handheld and portable products, such as Cellular Handsets and PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant) require back lit displays that use LCD technology in combination with EL (Electroluminescent) or White LED back lighting. Supertex offers several models of EL lamp drivers, and is currently developing White LED drivers (to be released late 2001). Supertex patented drivers provide high brightness, high efficiency, and low noise solutions.

Other Products
Supertex other products are classified into five categories: DMOS, Digital HVCMOS, Analog HVCMOS, Power and DMOS Technology. They find applications in a wide variety of products such as non-contact printer drivers? (HVCMOS), medical Ultrasound (DMOS, HVCMOS) Display, and Telecom equipment (Power, HVCMOS). For emerging telecom applications Supertex supplies custom and standard High Voltage drivers for use with MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) technology in fiber optics.

About Supertex
In addition to HVCMOS products, Supertex builds custom ICs and foundry services in a Captive Fab, with class 10 clean rooms, producing sub-micron structures on 6 inch substrates. Supertex has earned domestic as well as international recognition as a demonstrated technological leader in high voltage semiconductor products. Established in 1976. and ISO 9001 Certified.
