VTP Battery Protection

This circuit protection device is narrow enough to fit into six mm wide prismatic cells. The design features a right-angle form factor designed to minimize the number of interconnections with the printed and flex circuit boards in battery packs. The product uses low-temperature, low-resistance material to protect against overcharging while permitting maximum run time in high power batteries and packs for portable electronics applications. The device is well suited for Li-Ion packs where low charging temperatures are desired. Using the resettable product enables designers to set lower trip temperatures than is possible with thermal fuses.
