Waveform Data Type
With the waveform data type, users can attach a time stamp, channel names, measurement units, and sampling rate information to their measurements. This information is displayed with the measurements when published to the user interface, to a file, or to a Web page. Users then can share the information with anyone who views the measurements.
With the waveform data type, users simply acquire data from a measurement device and NI-DAQ automatically attaches the time stamp information to the measurement.
With the new version, users now have the ability to provide named channel configuration for accelerometer and linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) position measurements through the company's Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) 2.0 configuration utility.
